Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) approach is a form of behavioural therapy that encourages you to accept your thoughts and feelings instead of fighting or feeling guilt for the thoughts and feelings that you might be experiencing. With ACT you commit to facing the difficulties rather than avoiding them. ACT combines mindfulness with practice of self-acceptance.

ACT might be a helpful approach for difficulties such as:

  • Anxiety

  • Depression

  • OCD

  • Addictions

  • Workplace stress

  • Test anxiety

  • ACT is also effective with variety of other life difficulties
